Bad Kitty

Because we all love free patterns.
This is the first pattern I've tried to post, so please, bear with me.

the Bad Kitty hat.

This hat is made like a giant rectangle, then sewn up the sides.
Please, don't hesitate to correct me if this pattern doesn't turn out quite right.

Hold the ends of the half-earflaps together, and backstitch(or slip stitch) the edge together using a crochet hook or embroidery needle. Cut yarn and tie off.

Line up the other side and pull a yarn loop from the front to the back. Pull the tail through your loop and pull to tie off. Back stitch (or slip stitch) the edge together, cut yarn and tie off.

Weave in ends.
Turn right side out -- make sure the ears are pointed.
Wear proudly.

Yes, it's required.
And, if you're on Ravelry, send me your pictures.

No, not silly. I had someone else ask me this a while ago, and prior to discovering it myself, it seemed complete nonsense.

Base Half-double Crochet.
I might be calling it the wrong thing, but I think you could find the proper title with the full words.

Post picture if you make it? (:

Help? D:

I'm having trouble understanding the part where I start to make the first earflap. Where do I start the 4 bhdc? Do I add it on to the chain of 28 I just made or do I turn and start on one of the sides?
