YOU NEED
Crochet hook or embroidery needle
Size 11 circular needles
1 skein Lion Brand Homespun yarn
a gauge of 3 stitches and 4 rows in stockinette=1 inch


CO 50 sts

Row 1-4: *K1, P1* repeat until the end
Continue in stockinette for 46 rows.

Row 51: K1, M1, K to last st, M1, K1
Row 52: P across
Rows 53-63: Repeat tows 51&52
Rows 64-70: K across
Bind off loosely.

Repeat for the other half.
Right sides together, sew the back seam using your chosen method.
Right sides together, sew the sleeve seam stopping at 16".

Pick up 104 stitches around the neckline.
Round 1: *K1, P1* repeat around
Round 2-5: Repeat row 1
Bind off loosely.

Weave in ends if you didn't while working.

I have a very tempermental...er, temperment. It irks me so much when people talk about humans being "social creatures" when I only have short bursts of social tendencies. It used to be different, but I've grown cynical concerning the people I must be around when I choose to be social. It seems to me that the more I try to mingle, the more people try to suck me into inane moments. Those inane moments erode my self-respect, and so I tend to avoid them whenever possible.

Not to say that I completely avoid nonsense, only the habit and worship of it. I detest the excuses that other teenagers give. Your age is little excuse for detestable behavior. Whatever stupid things you do when you should know better(and yes, you should know better) comes from inside.

What was I talking about?
Social obligation, ah.

I think, to fully answer the writer's block question, I have to ask what is obligation and what is merely expectation developed through generations of misconception and simple pressure? There is a big difference between what you are obligated to do, and what you are pressured to do. The recognition of that difference must come from within a person. No one else can define it for them, no matter who pressures them otherwise.

In short(hah...or not) I do not make excuses to be exempt from social gatherings--I give reasons. If the person doesn't like it, then it's their problem.
